About Me

  December 2010                                                  December 2015
(a few days before diagnosis)                            (almost 5 years cancer-free)

I started this blog as a way to share my thoughts with friends and family, and to update them on my life.  I would eventually like for others to read my blog to learn about breast cancer, and maybe use my experience to help them cope with their own diagnosis.

I know that it is so overwhelming to battle cancer on top of the everyday life challenges that we already have.  I will be keeping track of my journey through breast cancer treatments, and I am determined to come out on the other side of it with a whole new perspective on life.  I have faith that God will provide me with the strength to get through this, and that He has a perfect plan for my life.  I hope that one day I will have the opportunity to help others, and to really make a difference in some way.  I am eager to see what direction my life goes from here.  I am just living in the moment for each day, at this point.  And I am treasuring every minute of it!

I love: spending time with my hubby, reading, kissing my babies, taking pictures of everything, shopping, teaching, cooking, crafts, the beach, scrapbooking, exercising, praying, organizing stuff, making a big deal out of holidays, coffee, dark chocolate, collecting handbags, my yorkie

I hate: cancer, needles, hospitals, most TV, traffic, cold weather, soda, peas, getting up early, fake/rude people.

I would like to thank my husband for supporting me through this difficult time, and for being so strong for our family.  He loves me no matter what the circumstance, and I know that he will always be there for me.  It really gives meaning to the whole “in sickness and health” thing.  And I love him unconditionally the same!  xoxo!  Here are a few pictures of us...
