You may be thinking that a spinach smoothie sounds gross, but this drink is sooooo delicious! It is a great way to get in your nutrient-packed spinach if you don't like the taste of it, because you can't taste the spinach at all. Anybody who likes peanut butter and bananas will love this! It can easily be taken on-the-go when you are in a hurry. And, it is very filling... enough to be a meal. You
must try this and see for yourself!
Ingredients:
1 frozen sliced banana
1 tablespoon peanut butter
1/2 cup Vanilla Greek yogurt
1 cup skim milk
4 cups baby spinach (or add as much or as little spinach as you want)
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

@Mary- Thanks! I will have to try it soon!
ReplyDeleteyay - I add spinach to my smoothies, too! Even my husband says he can't taste it, so we might as well! I've never tried peanut butter (YUM!), but I often add frozen silken tofu (for calcium and other nutrients), sometimes flavoured ones which taste amazing, especially as I use plain yogurt. And I try to use berries, or any vitamin c fruit so the iron in spinach is easily absorbed .... And if the bananas are frozen, it gets all thick & frothy like a milkshake!
ReplyDeleteI also put these in popsicle moulds for summer treats! Toddler loves them!
